Donald J. Kelly

Donald James Kelly, age 75, of New Lenox, beloved Husband, Father and Papa, passed away on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at Silver Cross Hospital.

Donald is survived by his loving wife Elizabeth “Betty” Kelly (Traversa); son Daniel (Stephanie) Kelly; daughter Kathleen (Christopher) McClain; daughter Samantha Kelly; grandchildren, Brayden and CJ McClain and Connor Kelly; his brother Richard Kelly; sister Judith (Richard) Manske; and niece Jessica Manske.

He is preceded in death by his parents James and Anne (Tivador) Kelly.

Donald was a man that was all about family. He was a kind and generous man that was always willing to lend a helping hand. His greatest joy in life was being a Husband, Father, and Papa, and what a wonderful Papa he was. He enjoyed helping with projects and was quite the handyman. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching the stock market and liked watching football and cheering on the Packers.

He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all that knew him.

Services for Donald will begin with a visitation on Sunday, December 19, 2021 at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Road in New Lenox, from 2pm-5pm. Services will continue the following day with a short visitation from 11am until time of service at 12pm. Donald will be laid to rest a Good Shepherd Catholic Cemetery in Orland Park.
