90 of New Lenox, passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at his home. Don was born in Cornell, IL to the late Manuel and Louise (nee Hecht). Beloved husband of the late Sue Ellen (nee Spittal); loving father of Karl Smith, Paul (Peggy) Smith, Amy (Nathan) Ryan, Rick (Denise Issert) Smith; cherished grandfather of Joshua and Luke Ryan; dear brother of Edna (late Jerry) Allain, Doris (late Ron) Belluso, the late Emma (late John) Gotch, the late Helen (late John) Mikolajczyk, the late Laura (late Glenn) Scott, the late Lester (late Mary) Smith, the late Alvin (late Darlene) Smith, the late Darlene (late Don) Decker, the late Gertrude Smith, and the late Elmer Smith, loved uncle of numerous nieces and nephews. Don was an auto body repair man and later became an adjustor. He was the proud owner of S&S Auto Rebuilders, Joliet. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, New Lenox on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 from 11:00am until time of Funeral Service at 3:00pm. Interment to follow at Maplewood Cemetery, New Lenox.
