Donna L. Fillak

Donna L. (nee Fuhrman) Fillak, Age 90, passed away peacefully on Monday January 23, 2023 at Victorian Village Faith House in Homer Glen, Illinois after an extended illness.

Donna is survived by her loving children, Drew Alan Fillak and Dr. L. Douglas (Dr. Paula S.) Fillak, grandchildren, Christopher Douglas Fillak, Alexander Paul (Carol Kim) Fillak and Jessica Lee Fillak and her nieces Dr. Sharon Wolchik(Washington, D.C.), Dr. Sharlene Wolchik(CareFree , Arizona) and Jann Wells (Erie,Pa).

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Leo Andrew Fillak and her parents Louis and Pearl (nee Boyd) Fuhrman.

Donna was born in Erie, Pa on August 22, 1932.She attended Edinboro State College and married Leo and started her family in Erie. Donna was a devout Christian and enjoyed reading her bible and other Christian Literature. She was a loving and involved mother. She was a Hockey Mom and raised two Eagle Scouts. She loved to cook and take care of her family. In her downtime, Donna enjoyed watching Game Shows and was a fierce and competitive Scrabble Player. She will be deeply missed by all that knew her.

Services for Donna will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2023 with a visitation at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL from 1pm until the time of service at 3:30pm. Donna will be laid to rest at Laurel Hill Cemetery with her husband and her family in Erie, Pa on Feb 03, 2023.
