Age 90, a longtime resident of Oak Forest, passed away on Saturday, January 15th, 2022 at Palos Community Hospital in Palos Heights.

Doris is survived by her loving family, children, Susan Kennedy, Patricia Kennedy, Michael (Sharon Huisman) Kennedy, Randy Kennedy, grandchildren, Drew (late Kimberly) Huisman, Amanda (Dan) DeSimon, great grandchildren, Kenzie Huisman, Shawn Huisman, Ruby DeSimon, Scarlett DeSimon and numerous nieces and nephews.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Richard & Cleo DeVos (Miner), husband, Joseph Kennedy, her 15 siblings, Richard, Robert, Georgetta, Donald, Edward, William, Herbert, John, Alice, Fred, David, Priscilla, Judy, Thomas and James.

Doris greatly enjoyed golfing and was a member of the Golf Vista Golf League in Monee.

Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL 60423 on Saturday, January 22nd, 2022 from 12:00 PM until time of the funeral service at 3:30 PM.
