Doris I. Meinhart (Gladstone), age 89, a resident of Lockport, Illinois for 5 years formerly of Beverly Hills, Florida for 27 years passed away peacefullly on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at Sunny Hill Nursing Home in Joliet, Illinois. Doris is survived by her loving family; daughters Patricia (Richard) Stenseth and Laura (Carl) DeBruyne; grandchhildren Kim (Paul) Cocco, Gerry (Rosie) Hicks, Jackie (Fiancee Matt Rennebohm) DeBruyne, Randy DeBruyne and Sam DeBruyne; great grandchildren Anthony, Brandon and Carli Cocco and many nieces and nephews. Doris was preceded in death by her husband Harold Meinhart; son Steven Meinhart; parents William and Jeannie (Anderson) Gladstone; and siblings Mae Naffin, Violet Henninger, Myrtle Gladstone, William Gladstone, Joan Scoffield, Fred Gladstone and Gloria Strande. Doris recently attended Victory Baptist Church in New Lenox, Illinois. Doris loved spending time with her family and pets, and enjoyed the flute, golfing, bowling, gardening and taking cruises. The family will reveive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd. New Lenox IL 60451 on Saturday, June 3, 2017 from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM with a memorial service at 12:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be private.
