Age 94, of Lockport, passed away on Thursday, August 7th, 2014. Beloved wife of the late Bengt I. Anderson; loving mother of Marilynn (Charles) Sandeen, Carolynn (late Daniel) Stobbe, Rosilynn (Frank) Popek, and Franklynn (Kimberly) Anderson; cherished grandmother of 12 and great-grandmother of 24; dear sister of Eleanor (Harold) DuBien; and sister-in-law of Marge Anderson; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents Warren and Elizabeth Fort nee Keir; daughter Evelynn Rose; Brother George Fort; Sister Wilma Smith; infant grandson Peter Stobbe; and infant great-grandson Lucas Carbonara. Dorothy was a Clerk for the Lockport United States Post Office for 23 years, and member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Lockport. Family will receive friends at Goodale Memorial Chapel, 912 S. Hamilton Street, Lockport, IL 60441 on Monday, August 11th, 2014 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
