DOROTHY M. POWER (COMPTON)

Age 91, resident of Cedarhurst of Frankfort, former resident of Clarendale of Mokena, passed away on Saturday, September 28th, 2024 at Cedarhurst of Frankfort. 

Dorothy is survived by her loving family, children, Nanci (Paul) Artwohl, Kate Power, Dotti (Don) Hurrle, Diane Reynolds, Patrick (Nancy) Power Jr, daughter in-law, Vasso Power, 11 siblings, 13 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. 

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, George & Josephine Compton (DuBois), husband, Patrick Power Sr. and son Michael Power.

Dorothy was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church in Tinley Park and volunteered and attended Franciscan Sisters of the Sacred Heart in Frankfort. She was a former volunteer at Osteopathic Hospital in Olympia Fields and avid bird watcher and lover of flowers as well as her family.

Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL 60423 on Friday, October 4th, 2024 from 8:30 AM until time of prayers at 10:30 AM and then to St. Stephen Catholic Church, 17500 84th Avenue, Tinley Park, IL 60487 for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Interment, Good Shepherd Catholic Cemetery, Orland Park, IL. 

In lieu of flowers, donations to Franciscan Sisters of the Sacred Heart or St. Stephen Catholic Church would be appreciated.
