Eddie F. Younker

Age 71, a longtime resident of South Chicago Heights, formerly of Country Club Hills, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 21, 2020 with his family by his side. Loving husband of Jacqueline Younker (Lueder); beloved father of Jeffrey (Loree) Younker, Julie (Michael) Kilburg and Katie (Louis) Wortel; dearest son of the late Leslie and late Marie (Stelter) Younker; dear brother of Shirley Griffith, June (Late Thomas) O’Malley and late Floyd (late Joanne) Younker; cherished Papa of Ayva and Kaden Younker and Kamren Wortel; fond uncle to many nieces and nephews. Eddie was a car salesman in the south suburban area; well known as “BIG ED” he worked for Peter Levin Pontiac, in Chicago Heights, Phillip Chevrolet in Frankfort and Apple Chevrolet in Orland Park. He graduated from Rich Central High School where he played several sports and especially loved football. His biggest joy in life was his family. He excelled in many endeavors but none more so than raising his children and being a wonderful and devoted husband of 41 years. Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL 60423 on Friday, September 25, 2020 from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM with a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow to Assumption Cemetery in Glenwood. WEARING A MASK AND SOCIAL DISTANCING ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND ALL SERVICES. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Eddies name would be appreciated.
