Edith Marie Small

EDITH MARIE SMALL  (GUNDERSON)

Of New Lenox Illinois, On May 29, 2024 Edith Small made her transition.  Edith was a lifelong resident of Joliet/New Lenox area.  She graduated from Joliet Central High School in 1958 and attended Joliet Jr. College.

Edith retired from Illinois Tool Works in 2006.  During her tenure with ITW she was awarded five product design patents and became a member of the ITW Patent Society in 1998.

Edith is predeceased in death by her parents, Robert N. Gunderson and Mary K. Gunderson (nee Leggero).  She is survived by her children, Colleen Small-Vollman and Phillip Small and her grandchildren, Benjamin Small, Marina Small and Gwyneth Vollman.

Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Road, New Lenox, IL 60451 on Saturday, June 8, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.  Interment will be private at Elmhurst Cemetery, Joliet IL.  In lieu of flowers, donations to Lightways Hospice would be greatly appreciated
