85, of Frankfort, passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at his home. Edward was born in Chicago to the late John and Johanna (nee Gavelda) Zolna. Beloved husband of Lorraine (nee Zaitz); Loving father of Eddie Jr. (Kim), Judy Zolna, Jayne Zolna and Jeanne (Paul) Dresden; Cherished grandpa of the late Edward J. Zolna III, Michael Zolna, Tim (John) Zolna, John Zolna, Dawn Dresden, Sandie Dresden and Michelle (Todd) Mahoney; Great-grandpa of Haylee Marie Mahoney, Elisabeth Zolna; Dear brother of the late Anthony (the late Gert) Zolna, the late John (Irene) Zolna, the late Ann (the late John) Pitak, and Mary (the late Emil) Zbella; Dear uncle of many nieces and nephews. Edward was a retired Insurance Broker. He owned Ed Zolna Insurance Agency. He is member of the National A.S.A. Hall of Fame in Oklahoma City, the Chicago 16" Softball Hall of Fame, and the Illinois A.S.A. Hall of Fame. He was also an avid bowler and member of the P.B.A. and bowled on the P.B.A. Senior Tour. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated. Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 from 3 - 9PM. Funeral Service and interment will be private.
