Edward M. Hankiewicz

Edward M. Hankiewicz, age 85, of St. Petersburg Florida, formerly of Matteson and Chicago, passed away on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at Northside Medical Hospital in St. Petersburg Florida.

Edward is survived by his loving family; wife of 57 years Frances Hankiewicz (Jordan); son Christopher (Jacqueline) Hankiewicz; grandchildren, Amanda (Tyler) Elston, Katherine Hankiewicz, Robyn Hankiewicz, Ashley (Andrew) Knox and Robert (Rosa) Rowe; great grandchildren Kaidence and Urijah Elston, Konner and Kayla Rowe; Beloved Brother Walter (Emma) Hankiewicz; and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by parents Stanley and Helen Hankiewicz; sister Ann (Robert) Rossett; brother Frank (Donna) Hankiewicz; brother Raymond (Dolores) Hankiewicz; nephew Robert Rossett and Raymond G. Hankiewicz.

Edward was a veteran of the United States Army, 101st Airborne. He was a route salesman for Entenmann's. A member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, in Frankfort and the Knights of Columbus, and an avid Golfer.

A visitation will be held at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, in Frankfort, IL on Tuesday, December 21, 2021, from 3-8 PM. Funeral Service on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, prayers in the funeral home chapel at 9:30 AM leaving for St. Anthony Catholic Church, 7659 W. Sauk Trail, Frankfort IL 60423 for a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow to Resurrection Cemetery, Justice. in lieu of flowers, donations to the Knights of Columbus or St. Vincent DePaul at St. Anthony Church would be appreciated.
