EDWARD J. OLENICK

Age 93, of Frankfort passed away Thursday, May 2^nd, 2024 at Villa Franciscan Place in Joliet.                          

Edward is survived by his loving family, children, Bruce (Kelley) Olenick, Victoria (Michael) Gialamas, brother, Francis (Patricia) Olenick, grandchildren, Abigail (Nick) Fenton, Theodore (Lexi) Olenick, Ryan Olenick, Alexander (Klaudia) Gialamas, Alyssa (fiancée Kevin Ward) Gialamas, great grandchildren, Timothy Gialamas, Mia Fenton and Evan Olenick.   

Edward was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph & Mary Olenick (Gollatz), wife, Claudia Olenick (Wright) and brother Joseph Olenick.  

Edward was a 1949 graduate of Lindblom High School in Chicago and was very active in the Catholic Church throughout his life.  He greatly enjoyed sailing, bowling, fishing and spending time with his family. 

Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL 60423 on Thursday, May 9^th, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM.  Funeral service, Friday, May 10^th, 2024 with prayers at the funeral home at 9:15 AM and then to St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 19515 115^th Avenue, Mokena, IL 60448 for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM.  Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Alsip IL.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
