Emil Marske
87, of Mokena passed away Sunday, December 30, 2018 at his home. Emil was born in Poland and grew up in Germany. In 1952 he immigrated to the United States. After moving to the Chicago area, he married Marianne Skowron. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. He had two children, Monica and Hans. Emil started as a carpenter, and became a career home builder and land developer, in the southwest suburbs. His office manager Nancy Kowalski became his caregiver and companion. Emil was preceded in death by his parents Albert and Johanna (nee Schindler); his son Hans; and siblings Marta, Else, and Berthold. He is survived by his daughter Monica; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; siblings Herta (Marske) Skowron, Edwin Marske and Erich Marske; numerous nieces and nephews; longtime business associate, friend and companion Nancy Kowalski who lovingly cared for Emil. In lieu of flowers memorials in Emil’s name to Shriner’s Hospital, Diabetes research, World Hunger or a charity of your choice. Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel 102 E. Francis Rd. New Lenox on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 from 9:30am until time of Funeral Service at 12:30pm. Interment Bethania Cemetery, Justice, IL.
