Age 90, of New Lenox, formerly of Dolton and Chicago, passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 7, 2013. Beloved wife of the late Zigmund Balamut; loving mother of: Thomas (Lynn) Balamut, Bruce Balamut, Nancy Van Zeyl, and Robert (Diane) Balamut; cherished grandmother of: Bryan (Dawn) Balamut, Glen (Tammy) Balamut, Jenna (Jeff) Raunig, Christopher Van Zeyl, Carly (Patrick) Chapman, Jason (Kaitlyn) Balamut, Brittany, Lindsey, and Lesley Balamut; and great-grandmother of Tyler, Alexis, Brayden, Bennett, Ziggy, and Margaret; dear sister-in-law of Louise Shearer. She was preceded in death by her parents: Thomas and Mary Westwater and brothers: Frank, Joseph, and James Westwater. Florence was a United States Army Veteran, and avid swimmer at the YMCA in Joliet. Family will receive friends at the Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd, New Lenox IL 60451 on Saturday, August 10, 2013 from 3-8pm. Funeral Service Monday, August 12, 2013 in the funeral home chapel at 10:00am. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
