Francis J. Kolavo
(aka Frank, Babe, Dad, Grandpa, Fran, and Crash)
On Tuesday, November 3rd, at the age of 84, Frank passed away, surrounded by his loving family. Frank was a resident of both Orland Park, Illinois and Bonita Springs, Florida.
Frank was dearly loved by his wife Ann Kolavo (Cassidy), and a loving father to Terri Boutwell (Kolavo) and husband Meade Boutwell, Craig Kolavo and wife Amy Asay Jackie Tracy (Kolavo) and husband Brian Tracy, and Christopher Kolavo and wife Sharon Kolavo (Zarlengo). In addition, he was a cherished Grandpa to 14 grandchildren and Great Grandpa to 5 more! Frank was the big brother to two sisters, Dorothy and Emily. He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Mary Kolavo (Stefanich).
Frank was a United States Air Force Veteran. He was also a successful State Farm agent for more than 55 years. He qualified for every possible award State Farm had to offer, travelling the world with his wife Ann, as a perk for being one of the top agents in the country. He also spent more than a decade on the “speaking circuit” sharing his keys to success with other agents.
Some of Frank’s favorite past times included golfing with his buddies at Spring Run, cooking, happy hour, travel, and watching the sunset at his Florida Beach Club. Frank lived BIG and his personality was a reflection of his life. Always the life of the party, Frank loved to be surrounded by friends and family. Celebrating his birthday just last week with all four of his children, he shared this endearing message....
“I have no regrets. I left nothing on the table.”
