75, of Chicago, passed away Saturday, November 26, 2016 at Palos Community Hospital. Fred was born in Chicago to the late Fred J. and Doris (nee Smith) Cappetto. Loving father of Carmin (Jessica) Cappetto, Gina (Robert) Workman, and Laura (William) Zieman; cherished grandfather of Hannah, Brooke, Bishop, and Griffin; dear brother of Dennis (Gloria) Cappetto, Joseph Cappetto, John (Dee) Cappetto, Angela (John) Parnitzke, Nicholas DiStefano, and Michael DiStefano; fond uncle of numerous nieces and nephews. Fred retired as a Detective from the Chicago Police Department after 31 years of service and was a member of F.O.P. Lodge #7. Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Road, New Lenox, IL 60451 on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Interment will be private.
