Frederick Buhler

Frederick Buhler, 74, of New Lenox, formerly of Chicago, went to his heavenly home on November 17, 2021. Frederick was a member of Union Local 9 and worked for the City of Chicago.

Frederick was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Frankfort, he was an avid card player especially Pinochle. A diehard fan of the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears.

Frederick is survived by his loving daughter Elizabeth (Brian) Nelson; beloved grandfather of Amelia Nelson and an uncle to many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Karen Buhler, parents Carl and Charlotte Buhler.

He will be truly missed and so will his jokes.


A visitation will be held at Kurtz Memorial Chapel 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort IL 60423 on Sunday, November 21,2021 from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM. A funeral service will be held at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 177 Luther Lane, Frankfort IL 60423 at 11:00 AM, lying in state from 10-11AM. Interment will follow to Ridgewood Memorial Park in Des Plaines. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church would be appreciated.
