63, of Orland Park, raised in Harvey, passed away Thursday, April 19, 2018 at his home with his family by his side. Loving husband of Vicki Mathey (Paolucci); beloved father of Melissa (Kurt) Kopinski; dearest step father of Larry (Jennifer) Conroy, Kimberly (Keith) Carter, David Conroy and Jamie (Mike) Luera; fond brother of Greg (Jan) Mathey, Doug (Janice) Mathey, Susan Mathey, Eddie (Colleen) Mathey and Sheri (Jim) Mcdonald; proud grandfather of Colton, Ryder, Michael, Tatum, Chase, Mason, Brody, Cobain, Paige, Alex, Darian, T.J., Nichole, Gracee, Declan, Deegan, Camryn and the youngest grandchild arriving in August. Gary was a Chief Dispatcher for the CN Railroad, Gary chose to spend his free time with his grandchildren and taking photos of family and nature. A memorial visitation will be held at Kurtz Memorial Chapel 102 E. Francis Rd, New Lenox on Sunday, April 22, 2018 from 2 – 5pm, with a memorial service at 5:00PM.
