Gerald E. King Sr. 70, of Manhattan was born in Chicago to the late Anthony and Dolores King and passed away September 15, 2024. Beloved husband of Cheryl (nee Hestand) King; loving father of Gerald E. King Jr., and Gina (Edward) Ruane; proud Papa of Eddie (Shelby Ehlers) Ruane, Emily (Justin) Niemiec, Joseph Ruane, Abby (Hunter) Barowsky, Justin Farrell, Michael Ruane, and Jack Ruane; Great Papa of Logan Niemiec and Autumn Barowsky; dear brother of Karen King and Wayne King; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Gerald was an avid fisherman who loved his beer, his dogs, his Ranger UTV, and the Chicago Bears. A Memorial visitation will be held at Kurtz Memorial Chapel 102 E. Francis Rd. New Lenox on Saturday September 21, 2024, from 10:00am until the time of chapel service at 11:00am. The family has asked everyone to wear casual attire as that is what Gerald would want.
