Geraldine J. "Gerri" Gerlock (nee Halloran)
75, of Punta Gorda, FL, formerly of New Lenox passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Sarasota Memorial Hospital. Gerri was born in Chicago to the late John and Jennie (nee Carrollo) Halloran. Beloved wife of William J. Gerlock; loving mother of John (Colleen), Jennifer (Don) Booth, Jim (Angelique), and Kevin (Rachael); cherished grandmother of Annie (Dennis) Bowman, Billy (Chris) Gerlock, Nicole (Chris) Jones, Amanda (Brett) Kryska, Jackie (Bill) Gibbs, Bob (Amanda) Booth, Brent, Alex and Trevor Gerlock, Colin, Liam and Fiona Gerlock; great grandmother of seven; dear sister of Jack (Theresa) Halloran, Jennie (Paul) DeValk and Bob (Gail) Cizek; fond aunt of numerous nieces and nephews. Gerri was a former member of St. Jude New Lenox C.C.W. and New Lenox C.E.R.T. She worked as an R.N. and then Director of Home Health care for many years before retiring in 2015. She then worked at Triple R Child Care before moving to Florida. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Gerri's name to www.christopherreeve.org would be appreciated. Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel 102 E. Francis Rd, New Lenox on Monday, January 16, 2017 from 3:00pm - 8:00pm. Funeral service on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 with prayers at 9:30AM to St. Jude Catholic Church 241 W. Second Ave, New Lenox for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am.
