Geraldine A. “Gerry” Lokanc (nee Cox) 

Age 98 late of Mokena, formerly of Orland Park, IL, and Alsip, IL passed away Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at Clarendale of Mokena. Gerry was born in Sheridan, WY to the late James and Frances (nee Maher) Cox and was also preceded in death by her stepfather Bert Brooks. Beloved wife of the late Albert P. Lokanc; loving mother of Larry (Connie) Lokanc and the late David (Debbie) Lokanc; cherished grandmother of Lance Lokanc, Luke (Amber) Lokanc, Tara (Cam) Shick, Ali (Russell) Allen and Kyle (Amber) Lokanc; proud great grandmother of Lyla, Lawson, and Laramie Lokanc, Colton Shick, Parker and Levi Allen, and Addy, Nora, and Myles Lokanc; loved aunt of numerous nieces and nephews. Gerry retired from the Alsip, IL Grade School District where she taught for many years. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Family will receive friends at St. Jude Catholic Church on Saturday, September 14, 2024, from 9:00 am until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. Private interment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
