Age 88, a resident of Matteson, IL.. passed away on Monday, May 25, 2020. Beloved wife of the late Daniel A. Christopher; loving mother of Debra (Neil) Sullivan and Dean Christopher; cherished grandmother of Dean (Ashley) Christopher and great-grandmother of Justin Christopher, Jacob Christopher, Alexus Skowron, and Giovanni Christopher; dear sister of Arthur (Marie) Cannataro Frank (Ann) Cannataro, Mary (Wallace) Lorge, Olivia (Robert) Capparelli, and Grace (Michael) Caruso. Gloria was preceded in death by her parents Louis and Rose Cannataro (Ricchio), and her son Daniel Christopher. Gloria was one of the original patients to use a revolutionary voice prosthesis (1981), and played a key part in the development that helped tens of thousands of laryngectomy patients have a more natural speaking ability...and lead normal lives. She enjoyed playing Bingo and Poker at the Clubhouse. Due to the Covid-19 virus, a celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
