Age 97, passed away January 2nd, 2017 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home in Joliet.
Harriet is survived by her loving family, Andrea Kojder, Stan (Denise) Gruszka, Jr., Phillip (Kendra) Gruszka, grandchildren, David (Geri) Kojder, Alicia (Eli) Kostur, Jeffrey (Rebecca) Kojder, Matt (JulieAnn) Gruszka, Brent Gruszka, Jeremy Gruszka, great grandchildren, Justin Kojder, Ryan Kojder, Luke Gruszka, Logan Gruszka, Lindsey Gruszka, Lexus Gruszka, Aiden Kostur, Jacob Kojder, Jonathan Kojder and numerous nieces and nephews.
Harriet was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Gruszka, Sr., son-in-law, Richard Kojder, siblings, Joseph (Laura) Pociask, Caroline (Jim) Kucek, Victoria (Elmer) Kruger, Mary (Angelo) Violetto, Helen (Paul) DiAngi, Ann (Al) Ciolek and John Pociask.
Harriet was a member of St. Jude Church in New Lenox.
Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Road, New Lenox, IL 60451 on Wednesday, January 4th, 2017 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral service, Thursday, January 5th, 2017 with prayers at the funeral home at 9:30 AM and then to St. Jude Church, 241 W. 2nd Avenue, New Lenox, IL 60451 for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM. Interment, Resurrection Cemetery, Justice, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Joliet Area Community Hospice House would be appreciated.
