Age 94, of Matteson, passed away Saturday, January 25th, 2014 at her home in Matteson.

Harriette is survived by her loving family, daughter, Kathy (James) McDermott-Striupas, siblings, Lorraine Talaga, Mick Kuzniar, grandchildren, Maureen, Michelle, Donna, Geoff, Jenni, great grandchildren, Carmen, Johnny, Alex, Naomi, Lenny III, Gavin, many nieces and nephews and very close family friends, Gina, Jenna, Francesca & Aiden.

Harriette was preceded in death by her parents, John & Marie Kuzniar (Ostrenga) first husband, Thomas McDermott, second husband, Alois Cieslak, children, Ron McDermott, Maureen McDermott-Baumann, Tom McDermott, sibling, Jean Kulik-Kale and grandson Lenny II.

Harriette was a long time member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Frankfort.

Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL 60423, Saturday, February 1st, 2014 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM. Prayers at the funeral home at 11:00 AM and then to St. Anthony Catholic Church, 7659 W. Sauk Trail, Frankfort, IL 60423 for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM. Interment, St. Mary's Cemetery, Evergreen Park, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Lion's Club or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital would be appreciated.
