Age 84, passed away Friday, November 30, 2012 at his home in Marion, IL. Born January 21, 1928 to the late Louis and Neva (nee Mowrer) Engledow. Beloved husband of 62 years of Betty (nee Hawley); Loving father of Steve (Sherry) and Doug (Pamela); Dear grandfather of Andrew (Jillian), Scott and Kevin; Cherished great grandfather of Mia. Harry was a 1946 graduate of Olney High School in Olney, IL. He was a WWII U.S. Navy Veteran serving aboard the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Antietam, and an Engineer for Rock Island and Metra Railroads, retiring after 42 years of service. A lifetime member of the VFW post 1493 in Frankfort, a member of the American Legion, and Charter Member of the Frankfort Car Club. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Hospice of Southern Illinois or American Cancer Society would be appreciated. Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL 60423, on Friday, December 7, 2012 from 9:00AM until time of service at 11:00AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
