Helen Maciejewski, (nee Nawojski), 96, late of Frankfort, formerly of Holiday, Florida and South Chicago. Born on January 12, 1918, at rest October 30, 2014. Daughter of the late Andrew and Magdalena Nawojski. Loving mother of Leone (William), Cresap, Aleta Maciejewski, Tania (Anthony) Puchalski, Gregory (Patricia) Maciejewski. Dear sister of the late Steven (Anne) Nawojski. Preceded in death by cherished grandaughter Trista Cresap. Fond aunt of Maggie Sue (Jim) Kessler, Cathy (Dr. Benn) Konsynski, Lauretta Nawojski, Linda (Matt) Niemiec. Great aunt to Dean, Alex, Nicole, and Victoria. Grandmother to James. Longtime member of the Rosary Society of St. Bronislava Church (Chicago), and of The Caritas Society of St. Ignatius of Antioch Church in Tarpon Springs, Florida. Former owner of South Deering Hardware in Irondale (Chicago) during the 1940's and 50's. Retired secretary to the Dean of Education at the University of Chicago. Helen was an expert seamstress and enjoyed ballroom dancing, handywoman jobs and crossword puzzles. Visitation will be held Friday, November 7, 2014 at Kurtz Memorial Chapel 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort IL 60423 from 3 until 8PM Lying-in-state Saturday, November 8, 2014 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 7659 W. Sauk Trail, Frankfort IL 60423 from 8:30AM until time of Mass at 10:00AM. Entombment private. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in Helen's memory made to your favorite charity preferred.
