Herta was a loving soul who touched many lives in her 101 years here on earth. She had a number of talents, many involving tedious work with her hands. She had many skills including having a knack for oil painting, being skilled on the piano, and preparing many wonderful meals in the kitchen. In her spare time, you could find her in her garden. She was also extremely talented when it came to crafts. She was a revered tailor and seamstress. She was a founding member of the Fiber Arts Group at the New Lenox Public Library and was even teaching knitting into her 90’s. She was a wonderful woman who will be missed by all that knew her.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Joliet Area Community Hospice and Saint Joseph Medical Center for their wonderful care.
