HOWARD JOHN POLK

Age 72, of New Lenox, passed away Thursday, January 31st, 2019 at Hines VA Hospital in Hines.

Howard is survived by his loving family, wife, Mary Polk (Confray), siblings, Marty Polk, William (Sandra) Polk, Leah Polk, nieces and nephew, Kristen (Todd) McVay, Steven (Christina) Polk and Stephanie SanHamel.

Howard was preceded in death by his parents, William & Frances Polk (Arduino) and brother, Joey Polk.

Howard was assisted in his illness by beloved caregivers Betty Murphy and Denys Basarab.

Howard was a United States Marine who served in Vietnam and employed as a sales representative by his family owned business Marbill in Woodale. He loved living in the country at his home in Clarkrange TN.

A Mass of Christian burial is scheduled at St. Jude Catholic Church, 241 West 2nd Avenue, New Lenox, IL 60451 on Friday, July 19th, 2019 at 9:30 AM. Interment with military honors, Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Wounded Warrior Project would be appreciated.
