Age 96, of Tinley Park, IL passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2023, at The Cottages of New Lenox. Irene was born in Chicago, IL to the late Harry and Helen (nee Herzberg) Goldstein. Beloved wife of the late David Cohn; loving mother of Darcy (Robert) Mason and the late Laurene Sierles; cherished grandmother of Hannah (Gary) Alterson, Joshua (Nicte) Sierles, and Elizabeth (Gabriel) Mason-Magnuson; proud great grandmother of Rebecca Alterson, Lia Alterson, and Kai Mendoza Sierles; dear sister of one brother and two sisters who preceded her in death. A memorial service for Irene will be held at Kurtz Memorial Chapel 102 E. Francis Rd, New Lenox, IL on Monday, December 11, 2023, at 10:00am. Private inurnment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
