Age 33, of Chicago, IL, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 29, 2024. Jakob was born in Joliet, IL to Timothy and Krista (nee DelSasso) Mayo. Jakob was a graduate of Joliet Central High School and also a graduate of Harrington College of Design, Chicago, IL. He was employed as an Installation Manager at Moss, Inc, Franklin Park, IL.
Jakob is survived by beloved life partner, Krissy Cox; parents, Timothy Mayo and Krista (Jim) Hileman; siblings, Kyndall (Matthew) Storrs and Colton Hileman; maternal grandparents, Donna and Gayland DelSasso; nephew, Landon; nieces, Eliza Storrs, and Kathryn Elizabeth Johnson; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Jakob’s bouncy personality could make anyone laugh, feel loved, and valued. He was brilliantly creative, spontaneous, and the most selfless human anyone could have the gift of meeting. A gentle animal lover, he was the world’s best dog dad to Ellie Marie Mayo. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
