Age 81, of Frankfort, IL passed away Friday, January 15, 2022, in Jensen Beach (Hutchinson Island), FL. Jim was born in Chicago to the late Joseph and Joanne Fischer. Beloved husband of Lauri (nee Weathers) Fischer; loving father of Doug (Laura Korba) Fischer, Dee Dee (Rick) Krueger, Dawne (Dave Tkaczyk) Fischer, and Danielle (Lance) Foster, cherished grandfather of Ehrin (Josh) Villalobos, Ricky Krueger, Natalie Fischer, Kristin Lowdermilk, Jonathon Krueger, Hannah Fischer, Rachel Foster, Kira Fischer, and Zoe Fischer; proud great-grandfather of Rory Villalobos; dear brother of the late Nancy (late Bill) McNulty, the late Joseph (Susan) Fischer, and the late Thomas (late Noel) Fischer; loved uncle and friend of many. Jim retired, as CEO of V. J. Mattson Co. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Mokena, IL. He enjoyed Florida, golfing, and spending time with his family. Jim will be missed by all who knew and loved him. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel 102 E. Francis Rd, New Lenox, IL on Saturday, October 1, 2022, for A Celebration of Life from 1:00pm until time of Funeral Service at 3:00pm.
