James J. Kerrigan
71, of New Lenox, passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at Hines VA Hospital surrounded by his family. James was born in Chicago to the late James and Jean (nee Geraci) Kerrigan. Loving father of Jennifer Kerrigan, James (Cindy) Kerrigan, Jessica McShane, Joe Kerrigan, Mike Kerrigan and Ryan Kerrigan; cherished grandfather of Dylan, Taylor, Kian, Jimmy, Jayden, Aubrey, and the late Kyle; dear brother of Dan (Ellen) Kerrigan, Patti (Jim) Nagy, Kevin (Mary) Kerrigan, and Michael (Wendy) Kerrigan; loved uncle of numerous nieces and nephews. James was a retired carpenter, a U.S. Navy Vietnam Veteran, and lifelong musician. James loved his music and played several instruments. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, New Lenox on Monday, August 9, 2021 from 3pm- 9pm. Private interment with full military honors on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
