James Robert Lindberg

James Robert Lindberg, age 89, passed away on March 13, 2025 at John H. Stoger Jr. Hospital in Chicago.

James is survived by his loving wife of 65 years Barbara Lindberg, Children; James Lindberg, Erin (Daniel) Doyle, Thomas (Michelle) Lindberg, Anne Lindberg, Grandchildren; Steven (Mindy), Jamie (Anthony), Allison, Neil, Stephanie, Nicholas, Liam, Nathan

Jim was a proud husband, father of his 4 children and 8 grandchildren. In Jim’s early life he was a radio communication specialist serving in the U.S army. He spent time working in Germany just after the Korean War.

Jim was a lifelong car collector and restorer. This hobby was his passion. Jim’s other passions include collecting antique model trains from the 1920’s. Jim enjoyed his career being the head engineer of multiple buildings in Chicago and suburbs. Jim lived a full life with many hobbies and he did it his WAY!

The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL 60423 on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00PM. Funeral Service will start at 1:00PM at the funeral home, Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery 6001 W. 111th st. Alsip, Illinois 60803
