James Zerlentes, age 54, a resident of Chicago formerly of Oak Lawn, passed away on Sunday, September 30, 2018. Beloved son of the late John and late Bessie (Spanos) Zerlentes; Loving brother of Kristi (late Erich) Spengler; cherished uncle of Emily Spengler and Lauren Spengler; dearest Godson of Bill and Irene Karopoulos; loving nephew, cousin, and many friends. and Oreo the dog he adored. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL 60423 on Friday, October 5, 2018 from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM with Trisagoin service at 6:00 PM. Visitation again Saturday, October 6, 2018 at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 10301 Kolmar Ave, Oak Lawn IL 60453 from 9:30AM until time of funeral Liturgy at 10:00 AM.
