Janice M. Coats (nee Halm)
65, passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at Silver Cross Hospital, New Lenox. Born in Ottawa, IL living in New Lenox the past 42 years. Survived by her loving family; her husband Paul "Les" Coats; children, Lori (Kevin) Keegan, Greg (Laura) Coats and Sheri (Shawn) Lindner; grandchildren, Kaylee and Zak Keegan, Adam and Lilly Coats, and Brady Lindner; her mother Marjorie (nee Swiger) Halm; a brother Jerry (Pauline) Halm; sisters, Judy (Tom) Oberts and Joleen (Gerry) Mallon; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her son Jeffrey (in infancy); her father Edmund Halm and a brother Paul (in infancy). Jan was employed as an RN for over 30 years, with her last 15 years working for Dr. Joseph Karcavich before retiring in 2010. Special thanks to Dr. Pundaleeka and the staff, especially Nikki and Tasha at JOHA. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated. Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Road, New Lenox, IL 60451 on Sunday, November 25, 2012 from 2-6PM. Funeral Service Monday, November 26, 2012 with prayers at 9:30AM to St. Jude Catholic Church, New Lenox for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM. Interment Maplewood Cemetery, New Lenox, IL.
