Age 50, a resident of Manhattan, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 13, 2019. Beloved husband of Rebecca Gelatka (Self); loving father of Ryan Gelatka; devoted son of William and Coral Gelatka (Heptig); dear brother of Suzanne and brother-in-law Len Schaller; fond son-in-law of Marilyn and Richard Self; treasured uncle of Ashley and David Schaller. Devoted Brother-in-law of, Tammy and Frank Ringo, Lana and Joe Wazny and Mitzy and Gary Bertoncini. Loved Uncle of, Justin, Kala and Joey Ringo, Victoria and Andrew Byerley and Katie Kelderhouse. Jeff was a Vice President and Foreman Operator from 1990-2009 for Albrite Electrical Company and received his Chicago Electrical license. He graduated from Lewis University in Romeoville with his Associates Degree, and had his aviation license and was a private pilot. Jeff enjoyed traveling with his family, and was a mechanical and electrical whiz. He was a very proud father to Ryan, and was happy that his son followed in his footsteps and will be graduating from Lewis College with his bachelor’s degree in finance and economics. He will always be loved, remembered and never forgotten. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL 60423 on Friday, May 17, 2019 from 11:00 AM until time of Funeral service at 2:00 PM.
