Age 78, a resident of Mokena, formerly of Dolton, passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2019. Beloved husband of Andrea (Ghinoi); loving father of Michael (Michelle), Jeffrey (Stacy), Julie (Gordon) Swan; cherished grandfather of Claire Swan, Daniel Jager, Emily Jager, Charlie Swan, and Brooke Jager; dear brother of Jim (Grace), Daniel (Diane), Diane (late Terry) Petrow, Chuck (Joanne), Mary Beth (Bill) Bancroft, Tim (Peggy), Rodney (Sandy), David (Diane), Bill, and Maureen (Tim) Ingalls. He was preceded in death by his sons John and Eric Jager. Jerry was a member of St. Mary Knights of Columbus Council #6993 in Mokena. He enjoyed reading, fishing, and was a craftsman. The family will receive friends at St. Mary Catholic Church, 19515 S. 115th Ave., Mokena, IL 60448 on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 from 9:00 AM until time of Mass at 10:00 AM.
