Joann M. Hernandez

JoAnn M. Hernandez (nee DuChance)
72, passed away August 25, 2012 at Joliet Area Community Hospice Home surrounded by her family. Born in Joliet to the late Joseph and Ann (nee Larsen) DuChance, living in New Lenox the past 47 years. Survived by her loving family; husband, Pedro Hernandez; children, Mike (Donna) Orr, Kelly (Daumont) Valentine and Teresa (Ron) Smidowicz; 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; sisters, Sharon (the late Bob) Koenig, Bonnie McElroy and Mary Jo (Doug) Watkins; uncles, an aunt, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Preceded in death by her sons Sean Orr and infant son Terry Orr, a grandson Sean Valentine, a brother Larry DuChance and her parents. JoAnn was a graduate of Joliet Township High School Class of 1958, she was retired from Ecolab and was a member of International Association of Machinists. In lieu of flowers, memorials in JoAnn's name to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated. Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Road, New Lenox, IL 60451, on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 from 3-8M. Funeral Service Thursday, August 30, 2012 with prayers at 10:30AM to St. Jude Catholic Church, New Lenox for Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM. Private Interment at a later date will be at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
