78, of New Lenox passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at Adventist Hinsdale Hospital. Joe was born in Pikeville, KY to the late Warren G. and Virginia A. (nee Justice) Chaney. Beloved and caring husband of Anna (nee Harris); loving father of JoAnn (Greg) Justice, Paul (Brenda) Chaney, Billiejean (Tony) Lopez, Virginia (Hugh) Graham, Joe (Cindy) Chaney, J.R. (Nichole) Chaney, J.D. Chaney, and former son-in-law Kenny DeLude; cherished grandfather of 16 and great-grandfather of numerous great grandchildren; dear brother of Bob (Minnie) Bevins, the late Betty Sue Peer, Patricia (late Leroy) Cessna, Roy Roger (Margaret) Chaney, Edward (late Debbie) Chaney, Faye (John) Morris, and Joan (late Curtis) Greer; loved uncle of numerous nieces and nephews. Joe was a heavy equipment operator and a member of IUOE Local 150 for 40 years retiring in 2007. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, New Lenox on Monday, April 22, 2019 from 3pm – 8pm. Services will be on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at Sauk Village Bible Church 2165 223rd St, Sauk Village, IL 60411 with visitation from 10:00am until time of Service at 11:00am. Interment Manhattan Center Cemetery, Manhattan, IL.
