Age 83, of Frankfort, passed away Sunday, October 14th, 2012 at South Suburban Hospital in Hazel Crest.

John is survived by his loving family, wife of 61 years Harriet Scanlan (Bradley), children, Lynn (Bob) Grotz, Patricia May, Kelly (Michael) Molinari, grandchildren, Kelly Lynn, John, Michael, Philip, Danny, Erica and numerous nieces and nephews.

John was a United States Army Veteran who served in Korea. He was a retired Fire Chief of Country Club Hills and a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Frankfort.

Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL 60423, Thursday, October 18th, 2012 from 3:00 to 8:00 PM. Funeral service, Friday, October 19th , 2012 with prayers at the funeral home at 9:15 AM and then to St. Anthony Catholic Church, 7659 Sauk Trail, Frankfort, IL 60423 for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM. Interment, Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations to any hospice program, the VFW or the American Legion would be appreciated.
