John W. Goldenstern
Age 90, of Manhattan, passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2012. He is survived by his loving family; daughters Carol (Larry) Watkins, Pam (Fred) Hamel, Cathy (Kevin) Zielezinski and Betty (John) Sakanis. 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth (nee Schwertfeger); son Jack; parents Charles and Mary (nee Guss) and 9 siblings. Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Road, New Lenox, IL 60451 on Thursday, January 12, 2012 from 3 - 8pm, funeral service on Friday, January13, 2012 at 10:00am in the funeral home chapel. Entombment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Alsip. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to Alzheimer's Association or the Illinois Veteran's Home of Manteno would be appreciated.
