John "Jack" Wesley Mork died peacefully at home on February 10, 2015 in New Lenox, Illinois at the age of 71. Jack is survived by his wife, Cheryl (Spice); daughters Lisa (Jamie) Bosnak, Tara (Andrew) Teeple; grandchildren Drew, Elyse, Joel and Mark; sisters Judy (Louis) Rodgers and Lois (Robert) Lambdin. He is preceded in death by his parents, John Walter Mork and Anna (Carl) Olson; brother Ronald (Inez) and sister Charlene (Robert) Hermann (late – Glenn Ringfelt). Jack was born on February 1, 1944 in Joliet, Illinois. He graduated from Joliet Township High School in 1962, Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting in 1967, and Northwestern University with a Master's in Business Administration 1968. He married Cheryl Spice at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Joliet in 1968. After moving to New Lenox in 1972, Jack worked for Gooding Rubber Company in LaGrange, IL. He retired from Gooding in 2005. Jack was an active member of numerous organizations. He attended Trinity Lutheran Church in New Lenox, serving on the church council and acting as treasurer for a number of years. He was elected to the New Lenox School Board, serving as president and working on various committees. He was also active in NAHAD, the Association for Hose and Accessories Distribution, serving on the board for six years and as president for one. Visitation will be held at Kurtz Memorial Chapel in New Lenox, Illinois from 2:00 – 8:00 pm on Friday, February 13 and at Trinity Lutheran Church in New Lenox from 10:00-11:00 am on Saturday, February 14, with services following. Interment will be at Elmhurst Cemetery in Joliet. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church on Jack's behalf.
