Joyce Ann Asselborn

Joyce A. Asselborn (Domenico), age 79, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family at her home in New Lenox, IL on Sunday, January 2, 2022.

She is survived by her loving children Bill (Jayne), Tom (Nancy) and Lisa and her cherished grandchildren Kara (Dan), Kristina, Kelsi, Abigail, Jake, William, Elizabeth, Luke, and Jason.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, William J. Asselborn, Jr., sons Donald Asselborn and Daniel Asselborn, sister Barbara Cann and parents Bernice and Frank Domenico.

Joyce lived a full life as a mother, sister and friend. She loved spending time with family, traveling and testing her luck at the slots. She adored her grandchildren and glowed with pride when they shared their accomplishments. Joyce will be remembered for her involvement in Glenwood sports, Mom’s Dugout, supporting her husband through Glenwood politics and all the memorable outings with the infamous Birthday Club.

Services for Joyce will begin on Thursday, January 6, 2022 with a visitation at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Road, New Lenox, IL from 3pm-8pm. The following day, Friday January 7, 2022 there will be a Mass of Christian Burial held at St. Jude Catholic Church from 11am-12pm. Joyce will be laid to rest next to her husband William at Assumption Catholic Cemetery in Glenwood. MASKS AND SOCIAL DISTANCING ARE MANDATORY BOTH AT THE FUNERAL HOME AND THE CHURCH.
