Joyce Ann Hollatz (nee Carroll)

Age 95, a lifelong resident of the New Lenox/ Joliet area passed away December 25, 2024.

Joyce was born in Joliet, IL to the late Howard and Elsie (nee Holman) Carroll. Beloved wife of the late Lawrence W. Hollatz, DDS; loving mother of the late Lawrence F. (Alice Fernandez) Hollatz, the late Mark (Libby) Hollatz, and Lisa Mills; cherished grandmother of Hannah (Rob) Walus, Gehrig Hollatz, Halle Hollatz, Mallory Hollatz, Sawyer Hollatz, and Emily Mills; proud great grandmother of Lincoln and Winifred Walus; loved aunt, cousin, and friend of many.

Joyce was a graduate of Joliet Central High School and a proud member of the school marching band. She was an avid band booster. Joyce was also an active member of St. Jude Catholic Church and St. Jude School in New Lenox for many years. She was an active member of Visitation and Aid Society, and one of the founding members of the Joliet Hospice. She loved to play bridge with the Cherry Hill ladies bridge club, and she also played in the Ladies Woodruff Golf group. Joyce loved to entertain in her home and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Joyce will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Family will receive friends on Friday, April 11, 2025, at St. Jude Catholic Church, New Lenox, IL for a visitation from 10 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to National Multiple Sclerosis Society would be appreciated.
