Age 72. Passed peacefully Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at Stanford University Hospital in California. Formerly of New Lenox, Illinois. Presently residing in Foster City, California. Judy was a loving and cherished Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and Friend.
She will be greatly missed by her Son Bill Shepherd of New Lenox, Illinois, her Daughters: Cynthia Stricklin of Foster City, California; Tina (Ken) Robinson of Port Orchard Washington, Sherri (Steve) Taylor Murphysboro, Illinois; Brother James (Dee) Lane of Climax, Michigan; Sisters: Delores (Mike) Kuhn of Kerrville, Texas; and Donna Macht of South Bend, Indiana; Grandchildren Jamie (Justin) Behrens of Campbell, Illinois; Jodi (Ian) Ellison of Ava, Illinois; Jenni (Peter) D'Souza of Foster City, California; Sean (Carrie) Burns of Port Orchard, Washington; Heather (Josh Smith) Shepherd of Seneca, Illinois; Ashley and Kayla Stricklin of Wilmington, Illinois; Billy Shepherd Jr. of New Lenox, Illinois; Great-Grandchildren Skyler and Ethan Ellison, Jayden and Jayla Behrens, KayLee D'Souza, Asher and Isis Burns, Addison and Ryne Smith and Numerous Nieces, Nephews, and Friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband John Stricklin Jr. ("Indian John"), Parents Harold and Gladys (Burnham) Lane, Son Rusty Shepherd, Infant son Henry III, Daughter Lynn Clinton, Brother Robert ("Butch") Lane, and Sisters Joyce (John) Taylor, Barbara Kelver, and Mary Vlach.
Judy was an avid gardener who enjoyed everything that allowed her to be outside. She enjoyed scrapbooking and Court TV (HLN). She truly loved being on Facebook and cherished her Facebook friends.
Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Road, New Lenox, Illinois 60451 on Monday, May 13th, 2013 from 3:00 to 8:00 PM.
