Judith R. Cagwin (Kadletz)
Age 71 of New Lenox went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 30, 2015. Born in Joliet, Illinois on October 26, 1943. Educated in the Joliet schools, she was a 1961 graduate of Plainfield High School. Owner and operator of Beaver Creek Pedigree Service, serving clients world-wide. She retired in 1992. Survived by her husband Robert D. Cagwin, two children Mark (Christine) Cagwin and Nancy Cagwin, both of whom she loved and adored, three grandchildren who brought such joy to her life, Rachel, Anna and Joshua Cagwin, several cousins that were like her brothers and sisters, having been an only child. Also survived by sisters in law and brothers in law, Edna Cagwin, Shirley and Lewis Barr, Sandra and Donald Carey and Jean Cagwin. Preceded in death by her parents Robert and Mildred (Malcolm) Kadletz, three cousins, Edward, William and Ricky Troughton, nephew Darryl Barr, sister in law Hazel Aschenbrenner (Joe deceased) brothers in law, Harlow, Don, Howard and Elvis Cagwin. She was also preceded in death by her loving dog Muffy. She loved horses and dogs all her life and was fortunate to own several great ones. She received her first horse at age 11 and from then on they were part of her life. She met her husband Bob at a horse show, together they raised and showed many fine horses during their marriage. One in particular "Lady Sundown" took her to the winners circle for many years. In the early 1980's she became a born again Christian. She was a former member of Faith Bible Church where she served as an Awana Leader. She also attended Crossroads Community Church, where she served in the Manna Ministry and together with her husband, in the MOPS ministry. She was currently attending Ashburn Baptist Church. Her spiritual growth was evident and greatly encouraged by her Aunt Marion Van Gorp who was like a second mother to her. Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel 102 E. Francis Rd., New Lenox, IL 60451, on Friday, May 8, 2015 from 5-8pm. Funeral Service Saturday May 9, 2015 at 10:00am in the funeral home chapel. Burial Elmhurst Cemetery Joliet, Illinois. Memorials to Ashburn Baptist Church or Pancreatic Cancer Action Network would be appreciated.
