Julia L. Perona (nee Kos)
91, a lifelong resident of Joliet, passed away on April 8, 2012. She is survived by her loving family; children Bernie (Pat) Perona and Gloria (Kenny) Fox; grandchildren Laura Dobczyk, John, Bernie and Joseph Perona and Linda Fox and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband John Perona; parents Frank and Francis (nee Vidic) Kos; granddaughter Tammy Fox and siblings Frank and Raymond Kos, Mary Kemp, Theresa Ehrsam, Frances Duckmanton and Ann Radakovic. She worked as a cashier in the cafeteria at Joliet Township High School for 14 years retiring in 1987; she was a member of St. Mary Magadeline Church and a retiree of AFSCME Sub Chapter 73. Family will receive friends at the Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd. New Lenox, IL 60451 on Thursday, April 12, 2012 from 5 until 8 PM. Funeral service on Friday, April 13, 2012 at 9:30am in the funeral home chapelleaving for St. Mary Magadeline Church, Joliet for a 10:00am mass of Christian burial. Interment will follow to Mount Olivet Cemetery in Joliet. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated.
