Age 81, of Tinley Park, passed away on Thursday, March 26th, 2020 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove.

Karen is survived by her loving family, children, Clifford (Beth) Sandberg, Lisa (David) Regan, Erica (Andrew) Meyer, grandchildren, Allison Regan and Jacob Regan.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents. Edgar & Barbara Phillips (Fry), husband, Clifford Sandberg, grandson, David C. Regan and sister Barbara Prickett.

Karen was a breast cancer and stroke survivor who loved reading, taking the train while traveling to Arizona, watching football and going to football games, playing word seek games, solving puzzles, and especially spending time with her grandchildren.

Due to the COVID 19 Pandemic; private funeral services will be held at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL 60423. Interment will be private at Oakland Memory Lanes, Dolton IL. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Center, the Alzheimer’s Association or the COVID 19 Solidarity Response Fund would be greatly appreciated.
