79, of New Lenox, passed away Saturday, December 24, 2016 at Silver Cross Hospital, New Lenox. Kenneth was born in Chicago to the late Earl and Emma (nee Reed) Lukes. Beloved husband of Claudette (nee VanDoorne); loving father of Ronda (Greg) Wallace, Kelly (Mark) Gerdes, Kenneth II (Traci) Lukes, Mark (Beverley) Kirby, Susan (Mark) O'Donnell and Renee (Tony) Rodriguez; cherished grandfather of Cory and Tess Wallace, Max and Sam Gerdes, Ken III and Emma Lukes, Ammy (John) Janiszewski, Mark (Liz) Kirby, Cody Kirby, Mary O'Donnell, and Edwin Rodriguez; dear brother of the late Earl "Red" Lukes. Kenneth was a U.S. Army Veteran. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Kenneth's name to the American Heart Association would be appreciated. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel 102 E. Francis Rd, New Lenox on Thursday, December 29, 2016 from 4:00PM until 8:00PM. Funeral service on Friday, December 30, 2016 at with prayers in the funeral home at 9:30AM leaving for St. Jude Catholic Church 241 W. Second Ave, New Lenox for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am. Interment with Honors at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
