KENNETH M. STEPHENS, SR.

Age 70 of Godley, passed away Sunday, April 6th, 2014 at Edward Hines VA Hospital in Hines, IL.

Kenneth is survived by his loving family, his wife, Joyce Stephens (McDonough), children, Russell Stephens, Donna (Ron) Carter, Kenneth Stephens, Jr., Susan (James) Johnson, Kevin (Vanessa) Stephens, siblings, Elizabeth Ernst, Patricia (Leo) Kelly, nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth & Louise "Punky" Stephens (Lenihan) and brother William Wilson.

Kenneth was a United States Army Veteran who served in Korea. He attended Brother Rice High School in Evergreen Park and retired from the Painter's Union Local #265.

Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Road, New Lenox, IL 60451 on Thursday, April 10th, 2014 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral service, Friday, April 11th, 2014 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment, Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
